What we need and what the new hire will be doing:
Looking for a talented In-Patient Coder for a travel heavy job that is based in north west Washington DC. This is a 1-yr. contract job opportunity. Will do inpatient coding & some outpatient coding in primarily a government work setting. May be asked to take and hopefully pass a coding test if initial interest from the employer has been established.

What you need to qualify:
* 3 years experience of doing concurrent review as an in-patient coding & outpatient coding professional.
Prefer that you have CCS or AHIMA designation, a CPC alone I'm afraid will not cut the mustard.
Experience in a hospital setting is a must have skill.
* Must live within 45 miles of Washington DC as relocation is unfortunately not a hiring option.
* Ability to work as an independent contractor (1099).
Person hired must have an attitude that customer service and patient care come first.
