Online programs include, but are not limited to, Apple Education Affiliate Programs and online Custom Store programs. In the Education sales model, the Online Sales Specialist (OSS) will own the the overall execution and strategy for driving individual sales through online programs in an assigned geographic area. The OSS will work closely with an Inside Online Sales Specialist who supports the development and execution of participants in the area. The Account Executive (AE) owns the overall strategy for driving institutional sales, and the Online Sales Specialist will coordinate with the AE and other account team members as appropriate to ensure a cohesive institutional engagement. The Online Sales Specialist reports to the Area Development Executive Manager. The corporate Sales Operations team oversees the definition, coverage, and performance of the Individual Sales programs nationally. This also includes the acceptance or removal of a program participant within the Area. The Online Sales Specialist works directly with the corporate Sales Operations team in Cupertino to ensure the quality, performance, growth, and program compliance of the participants in their Area. Success in the role demands a blend of creativity, sales skills, and a collaborative approach both internally and externally to support institution's continued success in growing their online Apple business. Candidates require a solid background in sales and relationship management as well as background experience that includes, but is not limited to, affiliate programs, B2B sales, out-bound marketing, and e-commerce. Responsibilities: Work with the Inside Online Sales Specialist and Sales Operations to develop a plan for acquisition of new affiliate participants and area revenue growth Successfully recruit new participants by selling-in the program within the institution, aid prospective participants through the application process and assist them identifying appropriate contacts for management of their participation. Present online marketing recommendations and continued follow-up with accounts on development opportunities. Advise participants on how to develop areas of web merchandising, web-traffic strategy, and understanding online consumer metrics. Be a "go-to" resource in the Area in understanding the objectives and details of the online sales programs, as well as the legal, marketing, and programmatic standards and guidelines that must be observed by program participants.
