Job Description VMware partners with an ecosystem of service providers to deliver Infrastructure cloud services built on VMware technologies. VMware is also investing significantly in helping our customers on-ramp to cloud-based deployments, with a specific focus on enterprise hybrid cloud deployments. The Sr. Program Manager will be the lead for driving integrated programs across key internal teams and ensure the delivery and proper alignment of Infrastructure cloud services that accelerate customer adoption. This person is responsible for executing against defined cloud services that VMware and our partners bring to market, drive the overall deliverables and cross-group coordination, drive planning and successful launch of these next generation cloud services. This is an important anchor role that will bring together many efforts across engineering, cloud operations, VMware vCloud programs, product and cloud marketing and additional stakeholders. - Execute against defined program goals for next generation infrastructure cloud services - Drive cross-group coordination, alignment for successfully launching services - Define key models and processes to help drive additional service offerings - Work with R&D teams to define cloud architectures and operational workflows and transition to operations teams - Work with vCloud program owners and our Operations teams to ensure smooth integration of workflows and implementations - Program Manage the end to end project delivery of key cloud products and services - Person will serve as the liaison between the R&D team, marketing organization and the operations team
Requirements: - 10+ years experience in program management and/or product management at an managed service provider/Saas type company - Very strong negotiation skills - Strong knowledge of virtualization, datacenter automation preferred; experience at product management a strong plus - Strong exposure to cloud based IT deployment models - Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and effective project management and analytical/decision-making skil |
