We are seeking a Chef Manager in Wilmington, DE, for a corporate dining account. This is an entry level manager position who will manage food program, able to cook and must have a passion for food. This is a small but critical site within a multi site account. Consistency is critical to success. Must be able to pass background check as well as alcohol and drug screening by client requirements. Join a winning team at this P&L long term contract. Position Summary: Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to GM. Qualifications & Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
