Job Description:

IT Services is responsible for managing general services required across IT with an emphasis on policy, process, service delivery and compliance. The team has enterprise responsibility.Primary

Responsibilities:

* General Management? The position will have responsibility for managing a team. The team will geographically dispersed. The Manager will be responsible for setting staff objectives, managing team output, evaluating and managing performance, mentoring and coaching staff. The position also has budgetary responsibility for the area and will help in the preparation of department budgets and business plans.

* Service? IT Services is responsible for managing and maintaining the IT Service Catalog which defines the services IT provides, the service levels associated with those services and the metrics used to manage the service levels.

* Deskside Support Function- IT Manager Deskside Support will ensure that all IT tickets assigned to his region?s queues are attended to and resolved within the required timeframes. Tickets must be escalated to 3rd level support within a timely manner if the team is unable to resolve an issue. The Manager will also attend to and resolve tickets in his own local site and potentially other sites in his sub-region.

* Policy and Process- The IT Services Team is responsible for developing and managing IT Policy and IT?s Process Framework (ITIL). The team will work closely with other areas in IT to ensure the development of policy and processes are consistent across IT.

* Compliance? The Services team is responsible for compliance with IT Policy and Process. This includes active monitoring of the processes and coordinating the remediation of identified compliance issues. The IT services manager will manage the relationship with internal and external audit and act as a single point of contact for the auditors on IT issues. This will require close coordination with the other managers within IT (e.g. infrastructure, applications, security).

* PMO? The IT Service Team is responsible for managing IT?s Project Management office. This includes establishing best practices for project management across the group, tracking of major projects and helping resolve issues and conflicts between groups.

* Special Projects? The IT Services Team is responsible for managing special projects that require IT support. Examples include: Merger and acquisition activities, business continuity planning, license audits, etc.

* Supervisory Responsibilities? Team of people geographically dispersed.
Skills/Experience:

4-5 years of IT management experience.

At least 3 years experience in the area of IT Service management.
Knowledge:
* Sound IT knowledge specifically in the area of IT process and project management.
* Teledyne business knowledge.
Skills and Abilities:
* Able to handle complex problems and determine approach.
