Primary Purpose Provide engineering related design, analysis and studies for domestic or international projects. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be to function as an Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) engineer performing work on Phase 1 conceptual engineering projects, AQCS multi-pollutant studies and general consulting support for major power plant projects and/or AQCS retrofit projects. Proficient knowledge of the following types equipment is desired: flue gas desulfurization (FGD) systems NOx removal systems, particulate removal systems, mercury removal systems, and emissions monitoring equipment. Must be familiar with air quality regulations and emissions testing regulations.As an AQCS engineer, responsibilities will include planning, performing, coordinating and directing the AQCS process design effort for SO2 removal, particulate removal, NOx reduction, mercury removal or other pollutant reduction systems. In addition, the AQCS engineer will develop and perform system analysis, calculations, research, and equipment & material selection necessary to develop required design documents. Will be responsible for coordinating AQCS project design and administration efforts with other discipline personnel, the Engineering Manager, the Project Manager, the Mechanical Section Head, Clients, Vendors, Contractors, Field Construction & Start-Up staff, and other staff. Must have strong technical writing skills and must be able to make formal presentations of the engineering report established. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either an ABET accredited program in the USA or its foreign equivalent. Must have the PE license in the USA or be in active pursuit of such registration if not already registered* or foreign registration, if available, which is accepted as valid in the home country or the country in which the individual is practicing, or active pursuit of registration acceptable in the country of practice*. Minimum of 11 years of experience performing engineering related duties. |
