IT Category Manager

Basic Qualifications:Must have a minimum of seven years experience in Information Technology Category Management and Procurement.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or Technical Discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. - Typically possesses five years of supervisory or project management experience. - Demonstrated experience leading and managing cross-functional teams. - Demonstrated experience defining and maintaining formal category business plans and strategies. - Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts related to IT hardware, software, and IT related services. - Demonstrated experience with project management functions including planning, tracking, monitoring, budgeting, and allocating resources. - Demonstrated experience planning, analyzing, designing, evaluating, implementing and satisfying project requirements. - Demonstrated experience resolving complex supply chain issues. - Demonstrated experience working with suppliers. - Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and Supply Chain Management principles. - Demonstrated knowledge of market conditions and marketplace intelligence. - Demonstrated knowledge of Total System Value (TSV) models and category value/performance analysis. - Must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, be accountable for results, and motivate self and others to set and achieve high performance standards. - Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with diverse audiences. - Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external personnel. - Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, Visio, Project, and SAP. - Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks and safety appropriately, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. - Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation. - Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.

Preferences:
MBA in Business or Finance. Master's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management and/or related field. APICS/CPM certification.
