The technician works within the Control Center which provides coverage and support for a 24/7 facility. The technician may work independently or in a team setting. Is capable of operating, diagnosing and correcting deficiencies on multiple maintenance and fire alarm systems in a complex work environment. NOTE: These examples do not include all possible tasks in the work, and do not limit the assignment of related tasks in any position of this classification Displays good organization ability and communicates with co-workers, prioritizes work during multiple events, and displays good coping and communication skills. Interacts and works in close cooperation with multiple departments across the Saint Marys campus and provides excellent customer service. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work occasional overtime may be required # Basic Qualifications: A two-year vocation degree or certificate in a HVAC, mechanical maintenance, electronics, building maintenance or building automation systems; OR an Associates degree from an accredited program in HVAC, mechanical maintenance, electronics, building maintenance, building automation systems or another program that directly relates to building maintenance and/or building operations. Basic knowledge of building infrastructure and maintenance systems is required. Other Qualifications: Experience in a health care setting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with customers and co-workers. Experience with computers, computer systems and report generation is preferred. Benefit Eligible: Yes Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hours/Pay Period: 40 hours per pay period, Part-Time position. Schedule Details: 40 hours every two weeks. 8-hour shift varies from weekday evenings to weekend days, evenings and nights. Compensation Detail: This position will pay $19.16 per hour, as negotiated by union contract.
