This position will involve web application development in support of business critical intranet and internet applications. Responsibilities will include maintenance of existing application features as well as development of new features. The candidate will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Participation in a 24x7 on call rotation is required. We will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. # Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and experience/training in software development; or an Associate’s degree and 2 years professional software development experience; or 8 years of professional software development experience Other Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of web application architecture, software design patterns, and object oriented design and programming principles. Web application development experience is required. Experience in some of the following is desirable: software frameworks, IBM WebSphere Application Server, Java Server Pages, Java, J2EE, Java Server Faces, Spring, AJAX, IBM WebSphere Portal Server, web user interface design, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Cold Fusion 8 or 9, SQL stored procedures, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server including SQL Server Integration Services, IBM Rational Application Developer, Eclipse, and CVS. Candidates must have excellent analytical abilities, be self motivated, committed to meeting deadlines, take initiative, and exhibit excellent follow through on tasks. Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel is required.
