Uses systems engineering framework to create and execute an interdisciplinary process (processes, workflow, and technology) that ensures that customer and stakeholder's needs are satisfied. Applies systems engineering methods throughout institutional project lifecycles (defining customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem) considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user needs. Performs business case analysis at the department/division and institution level including examination of costs, benefits, risks associated with the proposed investment/project and recommends alternatives for solutions. Independently manages business engagements that are integrated across the institution, through entire project life cycle (includes strategy/planning, design, development, testing, and implementation of entire solution including process and technical components). Demonstrated project management skills, including working with a diverse team, managing budgets, milestones, and schedules. Understands and plans for upstream and downstream impacts of institutional process change across the integrated organization (practice, research, education, and administration). Experienced in identification and monitoring of performance metrics, risks, and controls. Designs and develops new business processes and capabilities. Identifies, proposes and seeks approval for existing or new technologies that support the new business processes. Independently manages multiple medium or single institution scale projects of mild to moderate complexity through the entire project life cycle. Identifies, translates and applies best practices on assigned projects. Contributes to the enhancement of established project guidelines, tools, checklists, templates and methodologies. Tracks and communicates project progress to project stake-holders and senior S&P and Mayo Leadership.
