The sixteen week program includes high quality didactic and clinical experiences to develop a well-rounded Perioperative RN. The didactic curriculum is Periop 101: A Core Curriculum from the Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses (AORN). Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of completion and 24 college credits from the Mayo School of Health Sciences – Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. With successful completion of the core curriculum and a passing score on the comprehensive final exam, students will be awarded 40 nursing contact hours. Classes begin April 11, 2012 and end July 31, 2012. The application deadline is February 18, 2012.
