| Mile High Region Reporting to the Region Vice President, the VP of Human Resources will be responsible for providing overall strategic HR leadership to the region, including coordination of strategies and tactics across the markets, oversight of initiatives and operations in the field, planning, budgeting, and measurement of results. The HR Leader (Business Partner) resides within the region and is responsible for aligning HR services to business needs. The primary focus is on strategic activities in support of the business and the monitoring of HR operational services. The HR Business Partner is accountable for all HR issues in the Division/BU/Region and influences the business agenda to improve business results. In addition, the successful candidate will project strong leadership skills with a high degree of influence and persuasion to direct, inspire and develop a high performing team of human resource professionals in multiple locations to superior levels of accomplishment. He/She will provide guidance and support at all management levels to ensure consistent and sound human resources management and adherence to Corporate and Division policy, state, federal and local laws as well as earn credibility; exercise sound judgment; communicate rationale for decision making or recommendations to multiple stakeholders Core Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Advisor - Adjust HR strategies to align to changing business needs - Identify critical HR metrics - Knowledge of how all activities align, enabling the company to maximize the success of its strategic initiatives - Lead the business to focus on the customer and business process improvement - Challenge decisions that do not have business value; identify/ improve organizational inefficiencies - Provide executive coaching for leaders; people-related issues, leadership style, team effectiveness - Drive cultural transformation and focus on fully aligning systems, practices, measures, rewards and leadership expectations to support the desired culture 2. Organization and Talent Developer - Develop the next generation of leaders - Understand the talent needs of the business - Identify talent issues before they impact the business - Redesign organizational structures around strategic objectives - Define a diversity strategy. Confirm top-level support and ownership - Oversee major change initiatives; provide change management structure/resources - Influence the workforce environment - Establish a framework for flexible staffing practices and programs that help people operate effectively in a multi-generational business environment 3.
