Medical Oncologist - Thoracic & Phase I Job in Rochester (Minnesota, USA, United States)

Job Description:
Mayo Clinic Rochester is conducting a search for a full time thoracic & phase I medical oncologist to joint our medical oncology practice.

The Mayo Clinic is among the leading cancer care providers in the United States and is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. Each year, Mayo pulmonary medicine and medical oncology specialists treat more than 1,500 new patients with lung cancer. The Mayo Clinic medical oncology group is Rochester is known for its extensive involvement in the preclinical and clinical development of anticancer therapies as well as an extensive program involved in the identification and translation of novel host and tumor biomarkers. These research programs are funded in part through NCI grants, including several Specialized Programs in Research Excellence (SPORE) grants and a Pharmacogenomics Research Network Grant. Phase I and lung cancer trials are conducted in collaboration with the NCCTG/CALG/ACOSOG Alliance group, the phase II consortium, the Academic and Community Cancer Research United Group (ACCRU) and the phase I UO1 grant.

The ideal candidate for this position is a board-certified/board eligible medical oncologist with research skills and expertise in the area of developmental therapeutics for phase I and thoracic oncology clinical trials. The position includes participation in education efforts for the ACGME-accredited hematology/oncology fellowship.
