SYSTEMS ANALYST-NURSING Job in Rochester (Minnesota, USA, United States)

Job Description:

The Systems Analyst-Nursing acts as a liaison between Nursing leadership and identified areas of Information Systems. The Systems Analyst-Nursing consults with Department of Nursing personnel regarding technical solutions, documents requirements and articulates needs to IT colleagues. The Systems Analyst-Nursing designs solutions, writes specifications and may participate in developing software in conjunction with IT. The Systems Analyst-Nursing supports products resulting from those activities as well as assigned vended applications. Support includes QA testing, maintenance, problem resolution and execution of complex data retrievals. The Systems Analyst-Nursing collaborates with IT colleagues in the Department of Nursing data warehousing efforts including data modeling, reporting initiatives and the development of score cards. The Systems Analyst-Nursing actively manages projects through planning, coordinating and delivering activities pertaining to technology and automated business solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, with a minimum of two years experience in successful database management, requirements analysis and project management. Demonstrated skill in writing ad-hoc queries using structured query language (SQL).

Other Qualifications:

Demonstrated skill in system design, data modeling, software development, and computer programming. Demonstrated skill in managing multiple ongoing projects of various scopes. Demonstrated skill in working with others to accomplish goals through collaboration and coordination. Demonstrated skill in using Business Objects tools for reporting and semantic layer design. Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, consensus building, and conflict resolution. Experience working in healthcare technology. Experience in data warehousing and business intelligence.
