The successful candidate will be accountable for project results and goals set by senior section and division leadership and must work effectively across departmental organizations that require substantial inter-organizational and intra-organizational coordination, gaining consensus of stakeholders, and developing proposals and plans that consider strategic objectives and technical alternatives. Maintaining high customer satisfaction, application quality and availability, and promoting good teaming practices is required. Building strong working relationships across teams and units within the division and external to the division is also important. Being an expert resource and available contact for customers or potential customers is required. Participation in Institutional and Department work groups and committees, as needed, is required. Assisting the unit head with responsibility for personnel management is required. On-call support may be required. Candidates must be willing to stay in the position for a minimum of 2 years. We will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position # Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of professional IT experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 7 years of professional IT experience; OR 12 years of professional IT experience. Programming experience required in at least 3 of the following technologies: Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, Adobe Flash Builder, DB2, Relational Databases, DDQB. Other Qualifications: Knowledge and experience leading software development teams, defining requirements and developing web-based applications in a data warehousing or business intelligence environment. Preferred experience using Agile software development methods.
