The counselor is able to work across all clinical settings including: outpatient, residential, group home and day treatment. The CD Counselor will provide direct services to the family/significant others of the client as needed. The CD Counselor performs any or all of the Counselor Core Functions: Screening, Intake, Orientation, Assessment, Treatment, Planning, Counseling (Individual, Group, Significant Other), Case Management, Crisis Intervention, Client Education, Referral, Reports and Record Keeping and Consultation with other professionals in regard to the client treatment/services. The CD Counselor functions as a professional member of the interdisciplinary team. Basic Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of the dynamics of chemical dependency and mental health recovery issues. Minimum of two years full-time experience as an alcohol and other drug counselor or mental health worker in the last five years. License or Certification: Master's degree in Human Services field preferred. Certified as CADC II or CADC III by the Wisconsin Certification Board or a state with whom Wisconsin has reciprocity.
