The role of Nurse Manager is in addition to the role of Staff Nurse. The Nurse Manager/Staff Nurse roles are simultaneous. Charter House’s mission is to provide the best care through practice, education, and research directs the activities of the registered nurse. The Nursing Process of assessing, diagnosing, outcome identification, planning, implementing, and evaluating is the basis for all care delivered by the registered nurse. The Nurse Manager RN is accountable for planning, directing and coordinating the delivery of direct resident care and for the supervising the nursing care provided by professional and ancillary nursing personnel. The Nurse Manager RN collaborates and communicates with interdisciplinary health care team, resident, family/significant other to meet the care, educational and discharge needs. Adheres to Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Nurse Practice Act. # Basic Qualifications: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN level of education and with a current Minnesota registered nurse license. Maintaining current CPR certification is required. Other Qualifications: Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with Home Health and Charter House staff. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary with the ability to collect, compare, sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of resident and employees. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works flexible hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Previous experience in Long Term Care, Skilled Rehabilitation or acute care nursing is preferred. Knowledge of MDS and State and Federal regulations preferred. A 2-year commitment to this position is required. License or Certification: Minnesota registered nurse license. CPR Certification.
