| Assist and counsels patients and families with health related financial, social and emotional concerns according to the physician's orders under the direction and supervision of a Master's level Medical Social Worker. Requirements This is a PRN position. QUALIFICATIONS 1. Meets state and federal requirements for this position. 2. Has a baccalaureate degree in social work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education; or a baccalaureate degree in psychology, sociology, or other field related to social work and is supervised by an MSW as described in paragraph (b)(3)(i)(A) section of Hospice COP for social worker; and 3. Has one year of social work experience in a health care setting; or 4. Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs. State Specific-QUALIFICATIONS -Alabama State Specific: Must be licensed by Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners as a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker in accordance with Title 34, Chapter 30, Section 22. -Alaska State Specific: Regulation AS 08.95 : (a) A person who practices clinical social work without obtaining a license under this chapter to practice clinical social work is guilty of a class B misdemeanor unless the person is (1) licensed under a provision of this title that is outside this chapter, is practicing within the scope of that license, and is not representing to the public by title or description of service as being engaged in the practice of clinical social work; or (2) practicing clinical social work as a student in a social work program approved by the board. -Arkansas State Specific: Must be licensed by State of Arkansas, Social Work Licensing Board as a Licensed Social Workerin accordance with Social Work Licensing Act. -California State Specific: "Social work assistant" means a person with a baccalaureate degree in the social sciences or related fields.
