| Financial Accounting Analyst (Business Controller) Travel Payment Services Retail Partner Cards Brief Description of the Organization The Travel Payment Services business functions to service customer's needs for all Citi issued Travelers Checks. The outstanding obligations were issued in multiple currencies and were sold both in the United States and internationally. Principal business activities include daily redemption settlement, customer refund issuance, fraud investigation, and state escheatment of unclaimed property. The Travel Payment Services business is a division of the Retail Partner Cards organization. Financial Accounting Analyst 4 Job Description The Financial Accounting Analyst 4 will report to the Business Head, with a matrix relationship to the NA Controller's Organization, for activities supporting the Travel Payment Services division of the Retail Partner Cards business. This team serves as an advisor on financial reporting and control matters. The individual in this role will function as the Financial Controller for the business and will work closely with the North America Controller's Organization, the Business CFO's, Citi Security and Investigative Services, treasury, tax, legal and internal and external auditors on matters related to financial reporting, US GAAP and IFRS. More specific responsibilities will include items such as: Accounting for un-cashed Traveler Check liabilities Maintaining reserves for fraud losses Accounting for interest earned on inter-company deposit placements Foreign currency conversion reporting Bank/General Ledger Reconciliation analyses Legal Vehicle management/oversight and related compliance activities Financial Reporting Controls and SOX compliance This position must be capable of working in a team environment and pick up items at various levels of completion when needed to benefit the team. The position requires the ability to identify issues and engage to drive resolution. This position will have direct responsibility for preparation of journal entries and monthly account reconciliation packages.
