The Architect will be responsible for ensuring portions of shared services for the 2008 Redesign and other projects are well architected and the design is clearly documented and communicated and consistent with a high level vision for CLIENT products. The Architect is responsible for architectural and design vision and will ensure it is consistently implemented across all the projects. This position is a hands on development position. The Architect will be responsible for prototyping ideas as well as implementing production code. Required Skills
*Expertise in all aspects of large scale Java web application development (coding, testing, deployment and maintenance).
*Strong JSP, Servlets, Struts and Hibernate programming experience.
*Proficiency in various Frameworks, Libraries andTools used for Java development.
*Exposure to open source technologies and cloud-computing platforms.
*Insight and understanding of web application performance, scalability, reliability and security.
*Experience implementing Service Oriented Architectures ( SOA ) using SOAP and/or RESTful APIs.
*Experience working with Development methodologies like Agile and Scrum
*Frontend technologies like Javascript, jQuery, ExtJS, AJAX.
*BS in CS, CIS, or Math or equivalent Required Experience
