Relocation Provided Yes General Job Objective Manitowoc Cranes, a global leader in lifting solutions, is seeking a results-driven Software Engineer-Hardware-in-the-Loop testing. Key responsibilities of this position are to design, develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL ) architecture for the Cranes’ team. Reporting directly to the Director of Pune Engineering/Tampa Test Facility, this position is based in New Port Richey, FL. Essential Job Functions - Design, develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-loop test platform architecture for Manitowoc Cranes. - Design, implement, validate, and document test scripts, test automation, and user interfaces for HIL system using Python. - Design, implement, validate, and document Matlab/Simulink models for interfacing to HIL system hardware and CAN networks. - Create software drivers in C/C++ for Test Hardware. - Generate, Analyze and Optimize Auto generated C Code. - Drive new innovation and best practices in software engineering into the organization. Job Requirements/Working Conditions - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or in another field with equivalent software design work experience required; Master’s Degree preferred. - A minimum of 3 years experience in design, development and deployment of automated testing tools and methods using HIL on real-time embedded applications. - Hands-on experience with dSpace, hardware-in-the-loop systems, and ControlDesk software or equivalent is required. - Experience with the creation and execution of test plans and test scripts using Python. - Experience with Matlab/Simulink required. - A minimum of 3 years experience in C/C++. - Familiar with Automatic code generation. - Experience with XML, Stylesheet. - Normal office environment.
