Survey 23 - Do You Always Follow Up Your Application?

Survey 23 - "After applying online for a job, do you always follow up your application?"

Our May survey reveals 74% of jobseekers will follow up their application after they have applied for a job. This shows a keen and seriously interested jobseeker and reflects well on the candidate. Those candidates who contact the clients pro-actively are sure to stand out and quite possibly have more chance of being offered an interview, or even better, a job!

Out of courtesy, Clients should get in contact with jobseekers whether they would like to pursue the application or not, however, this is not always the case and jobseekers will be waiting and waiting. Even if it is not sheer determination to get the job, for peace of mind, it is advisable to follow up the application.

Those that sit back and wait, may look like they are not particularly bothered about the job and if clients have many applicants to sift through, those who do not pursue their application, will not be at the forefront of the recruiters mind.

So, jobseekers learn from this! After you have applied, chase up the company to find out what stage of their recruitment process they are at! You never know - that call could lead to an Interview!
