You will receive redundancy pay if…


- If you are made redundant
- If you have worked at least 2 years continuously since 1st October 2006
- If you are working under a contract of employment

You may not qualify for redundancy pay if….


-You are self-employed or a member of a partnership
-You are a director not working under a contract of employment
-You resign
-You are staff in the House of Commons or Lords or Armed Forces
-You are an employee in government of overseas territory
-You are an employee in the crown servants in public office
-You are a merchant seaman
-You are an apprentice
-You are a domestic servant
-You are an employee at the end of a fixed term contract
